Group calls for community support in constituency project tracking exercise.

A non governmental organization, the community Anti Graft Initiative ( C.A-G.I ) has appealed to communities in Rivers state to support, the tracking of constituency projects in their villages.

The president of the group, comrade Uche Odungweru made this clarion call to help assuage the fear that, the exercise is meant to arrest or prosecute fraud in delivery of constituency projects.

Uche Odungweru said in most states across the country, where constituency projects have been tracked, it enabled contractors finish up their jobs, where they are abandoned, and that, it has also helped members of the communities get their full benefits of such projects.

According to comrade Odungweru, constituency projects tracking exercise will make members of the communities see the extent, the government has contributed to community development. And he urged traditional rulers, CDCs and Community youth bodies to speak up, against situations, where what was meant to be a constituency project is now a personal property.
